Is this employment?
No. This is a revocable license agreement — not an employment relationship, lease, or partnership. You operate your own independent business. Mane Stage Studio does not control your schedule, pricing, services, or clients.
Do I need an existing client base?
Yes, or you should be actively building one. This model works best for licensed professionals with an established or growing book of business.
Can I set my own prices?
Yes. You retain full control over your pricing, services, and how you collect payment from your clients. Mane Stage Studio does not process your client transactions.
Can I use my own business name and branding?
Yes. You operate under your own brand. You may also reference your location as Mane Stage Studio & Co.
What is a committed rate vs. a flexible rate?
Committed rates require a minimum usage commitment and offer the best value. Flexible rates are available on-demand with no minimum commitment, at a premium rate and subject to availability. We will walk you through both options at your tour.
Are there different commitment levels?
Yes. Monthly commitments run for 12 consecutive months. Weekly commitments require a minimum of 12 weeks per year. Daily commitments require a minimum of 12 days per year. All options are reviewed during your tour and interview.
How does billing work?
Monthly commitments are billed weekly in advance by automatic credit card charge. Weekly and daily commitments are prepaid. Flexible bookings are paid at the time of reservation. A backup credit card is required.
Are fees refundable?
All license fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Unused time does not carry over.
Is there storage available?
Annual licensees receive designated storage space. All usage is non-transferable.
Am I responsible for my own insurance and licensing?
Yes. You must maintain a valid New Jersey professional license and carry liability insurance ($1,000,000 per occurrence minimum). Proof of insurance may be required.
Can I sell retail products?
Yes. You may sell your own products and may also purchase and resell products offered through the studio.
What happens if I need to cancel?
All usage is governed by your license agreement. Committed arrangements have minimum term requirements and are non-refundable. Flexible arrangements are subject to availability and paid in advance. Your specific terms will be reviewed at your tour.
